Simulation Shows the Awesome Power of a Pulsar

11th October 2018

More space news and info at: http://www.coconutsciencelab.com – a pulsar is the crushed core of a massive star that exploded as a supernova.

This simulation traces the paths of charged particles in magnetic and electric fields near a pulsar, revealing behaviors that may help explain how pulsars emit gamma-ray and radio pulses with ultraprecise timing.
